Queen Street Yoga offers challenging and accessible, alignment-based yoga at many different levels. Our teachers draw on their various studies in Anusara, Ashtanga, Iyengar and Vinyasa to bring their students a rich and informed perspective on the practice of yoga. Our core commitment is to offer our students a diverse approach to the practice of yoga. Whether you are challenging yourself in a handstand or nurturing yourself in a restorative pose, our classes are designed to meet you in your practice and offer space to grow.
We are dedicated to making the studio accessible to all levels, backgrounds and beliefs. Our schedule offers a range of levels from the simpler Basics class through the more advanced Expanding Flow class, as well as the relaxing Rest and Renew class. For students looking to learn progressively, we offer courses at Beginner and Intermediate levels. New students are encouraged to learn the fundamentals in a well-structured 7 week Intro to Yoga course, and moms-to-be can participate in our Prenatal classes, and our Parent & Peanut/Pumpkin courses. Our Community Class seeks to make yoga accessible to various income levels, and is offered weekly on a pay-what-you-can basis. Our teachers are also involved in bringing yoga into the community through various Outreach programs, teaching yoga for high schools, addiction programs and social work projects in Kitchener and Waterloo.
